Swarovski crystal:
Sterling silver is more durable, it is the crystal that is more delicate here.
I recommend you to store your jewelry in its original packaging or a soft pouch to avoid damages. This also helps to reduce exposure to sunlight, excessive heat and steam, which can fade color of the crystal.
Try to avoid impact with hard surfaces, as this can cause scratches and chips to the crystal and the plating. Further I advise you not to swim, showering/bath or sleep with the jewelry on. Swimming pools and hot tubs contain chlorine, which can weaken and damage the delicate plating on your crystal, and diminish the beautiful lustre.
Do not clean the crystal with any kind of jewelry cleaners containing ammonia, alcohol or other acidic liquids. These types of liquids can damage both the plating and the crystal. Polish the crystal with a polishing cloth if needed, and polish the silver with silver polish.
